Cooking with the King

OUR PURPOSE: To share the love of Christ and His Gospel message with youth at the Johnson County Detention Center

Ministry Opportunity

• Teams of 2 people serve each Saturday for approx. 1 hour*
• Assist 3-8 young people (ages 13-17 yrs old) with preparing a simple meal which they get to enjoy eating together
• Spend time in conversation with the young people, share the Gospel, discuss various topics, encourage them to share concerns and answer questions
• Accept prayer requests to share with the entire CWTK team and pastoral staff

You don’t need to be a good cook, or even cook at all, you just need to love the Lord and have compassion and love for young people who are hurting. Sign ups are available to observe before making a commitment.
