But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.

“Missions” is not just another program at Blue Valley.  We believe it is something that biblically should be a part of our individual and corporate DNA as followers of Jesus. Therefore, every program, project, partnership, event, fellowship, etc. is designed to help us make impacting the global community for Christ the core of everything we do. 

Many individuals, several Sunday School classes, and all of our ministry departments are regularly engaging the global community through official partnerships and projects, as well as individual volunteer investments of time with local ministries outside the wall of our church.

We partner with the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association, Church Forward (The Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists), Midwestern Seminary, The North American Mission Board, and The International Mission Board.  Other partners include Mission Southside, Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center, Hope Is Alive Recovery Ministry, and Compassion International.

Local Missions

By partnering with a variety of local mission organizations in the Kansas City metro area, we work to meet the personal, spiritual, emotional, & relational needs of individuals and use these opportunities to share God’s love and the gospel of Christ.  Local mission partnerships include:

Regional & National Missions

BVC is involved in ministry throughout both Kansas and Nebraska as a part of the Kansas Nebraska Convention Southern Baptist (KNCSB). We support the ministries of crisis pregnancy centers, children's homes, retirement facilities, camps, and disaster relief efforts.

In addition, we continue to be involved in mission efforts throughout the United States.  We currently have work with the following:

  • North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention
  • Operation Christmas Child in the USA
  • Baptist Disaster Relief

Global Missions

BVC has developed strategic partnerships with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention regarding work in South Asia and Africa.   Other global organizations we support and serve are:

  • Food for His Glory (Ramtekdi Slum, Pune, India)
  • Sparsh India Human Trafficking Response & Recovery Project, Pune, India
  • The International Commission serving South American and Western Europe
  • Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child International and the International Mission Board
  • Affecting Change International (ACI) at the United Nations in New York City, Genève, and Milan
  • The Unfinished Task Network, a partner project of ACI doing indigenous church planting training in Africa and South Asia
  • Compassion International church plant in Brazil
