Tuesday, May 21 - End of Year Brunch
Ladies, come to our meet and eat "End of the Year Brunch!" We’ll hear testimonies by Aaron and Beth Smith – Aaron is our BVC Director of Production & Media. We will also spend some time in prayer, share highlights of our busy year of ministry and projects, and enjoy a time of fellowship together. Please bring a dish to share. Also, remember this will be our last week to collect new or gently used one-piece swimsuits for children and youth, underwear for boys and girls in youth sizes of S, M, L, XL, family-size bug spray, and family-size sunscreen for the inner-city kids attending City Union Mission's Camp Cumcito this summer. Email childcare@bluevalleychurch.org by May 19 for childcare needs.
Women on Mission (WOM) is an informal group of women of all ages who have a heart for ministry and missions. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month, September through May, at 9:00am at the Annex to hear speakers from various missions or ministries, to participate in mission projects, to pray for the needs of our church, to send cards of hope to the sick, homebound and/or bereaved, and to enjoy food and fellowship! Occasionally our meetings include an off-site project. We are women who have SURRENDERED our lives to follow Jesus; SUSTAIN our walk through Bible study and prayer; SACRIFICE our time, abilities, and finances to become aware of and meet the needs of people in our community and world; and SHINE with and SHARE the love of Jesus by getting involved in mission projects that help meet the many spiritual and physical needs of our community and world.
COLLECTIONS NEEDED:
Women on Mission continues to sponsor a swimsuit drive for City Union Mission – one-piece suits for inner city children and youth who will attend Camp Cumcito this summer. Thank you for all your donations so far – please keep those coming!
We have also been asked to provide these additional items which will be needed at camp.
Bring donations to either campus by May 23rd.
