Women on Mission
Adults Women's Ministry
Women on Mission (WOM) is an informal group of women of all ages who have a heart for ministry and missions. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month, September through May, at 9:00am at the Annex to hear speakers from various missions or ministries, to participate in mission projects, to pray for the needs of our church, to send cards of hope to the sick, homebound and/or bereaved, and to enjoy food and fellowship! Occasionally our meetings include an off-site project. We are women who have SURRENDERED our lives to follow Jesus; SUSTAIN our walk through Bible study and prayer; SACRIFICE our time, abilities, and finances to become aware of and meet the needs of people in our community and world; and SHINE with and SHARE the love of Jesus by getting involved in mission projects that help meet the many spiritual and physical needs of our community and world.
December Meeting: Service Project @ JoCo Christmas Bureau

BVC volunteers, both men and women, will assist clients at the bureau (location to be determined) on Wednesday, December 11, 8:30am-12:30pm. If you’d like to help, call/text Delores Hanneman at 913-387-9267 or email delores.hanneman@gmail.com by the end of November as she’ll need to provide an accurate count of volunteers to the event organizer.
COLLECTIONS NEEDED:
Holiday Giving Opportunity
Due to changes at City Union Mission, we will not be collecting holiday meal bags this year. However, during November and December we will focus that giving toward the Stilwell Baptist Caring Ministry to help them fill holiday boxes which provide satisfying holiday meals to those in need in our community. Please purchase any or all of the following items and place all donations in or near the marked bins on either campus. Thank you!- canned milk
